The garden centre and gift shop is nice - much better than chain garden centres and the food market is lovely - could be expanded. The restaurant though is a real let-down. It looks lovely and the toilets are very hipsterish (though are missing the basics like having a shelf in the ladies, so if you want to do your make-up you have to hold your back or put it on the floor). You have to queue up to order food, which means that if you're on your own you can't also take a table, so people will come in and nab the tables while you're queuing. The line to order food is really long when it's busy. Table service would be much better. I ordered chips and they (all 8 of them) arrived in a dirty old enamel mug with coffee stains down the side. I had to ask for a plate so I could eat them. More plate than chips.Update - second visit here in recent weeks. Currently been waiting 28 minutes for an order of toast and chips. Would give this place minus stars if possible.
